Gowns & Underwear

Part of the Pointon Collection is an extensive collection of totally original costume - 1860-1960 - including wedding gowns, underwear, daywear, evening gowns, accessories, children's, men's etc.   Highlights include more than 50 wedding gowns from 1870's to 1970's and an unworn trousseau from WW1 era.

Constant Change

Gowns are displayed to tell their stories, themed around eras or special garments. These displays are lovingly co-ordinated by Gaye and changed February/May/August & November. Fashions from the 1920's, 30's & 40's are displayed to coincide with Napier's Art Deco week.

Customers and Workers.

Mannequins are used to bring life to the displays, around vehicles, working on them, sitting, driving etc wearing the appropriate clothes of the era.

Pointon Motors

Part of Pointon Enterprises, Pointon Motors is a mechanical workshop carrying out everyday work as well as more vintage car restorations.  Francis, who manages the workshop, is a Ford trained A grade Automotive Engineer with a lifetime experience in classic and vintage vehicle restoration.
